Mmmmm...Look at Me, I'm a Bank Robber....
So anyways, I was in a neighboring town in Indiana (we live right next to the Ohio/Indiana border) taking pictures of this house for their homeowner insurance. And, so the house happens to be next to this bank. So, I was taking pictures of the front of the house and was making my way to the back of this house when this old guy stopped me and asked me what I was doing. I thought it was an odd question and told him that I was taking pictures of the house for the people that just purchased it. He seemed somewhat relieved and asked if I was an appraiser, I corrected him and told him I was the person's insurance agent. He chuckled and said that, since my car had out of state plates (mind you, I'm 10 minutes away from this place...duh, they should be quite comfortable with OH license plates), parked at a bank, and was taking pictures, "you can never be too careful." Now, I kinda laughed and shrugged it off, not really understanding what he meant. So, after taking the pictures of the back of the house and got into my car I realized what he meant...he suspected that I was a bank robber casing the joint. I mean, seriously...do you think I'm really that fucking stupid that, if I was casing the joint, do you think that I would be that obvious? I would either be using a camera phone or be far away from the bank using a camera with a telephoto lens. I mean, really...old people seem to have way too much time on their hands to think of such things. And, even if I was taking pictures of the bank, I'm allowed to, aren't I? Not that they can prove my intentions...maybe I just admired the construction of it?
If I had realized what his acusations were before I got into my car, I would have pointed out his flaws in his logic and made him feel stupid. But, instead, I'm pointing it out to the rest of the world.
