Long Time No Love

Yes, long time no love from me.  Been a busy weekend and was pretty tired today so no blogging for me :)

So, Friday I spent a large part of the day with Jessica Christmas shopping.  I think that I have pretty much everyone done or I definatly know what I'm getting them and just "spreading out the love" as far as money is concerned :)  So, needless to say, it's going a lot better then what it was the past few years.  I was actually able to give people christmas ideas for Mike, which shocked the hell outa me...

I've been talking to my ex Denny on IM just now.  He moved up to Indiana a few years ago to try to "start things" over with me.  And, I haven't even seen him in real life for about a year, even though we stay in regular contact over IM.  And...he just told me that he has a job interview for a company in North Carolina.  I'm happy for him...but, there's also a certain part of me that wishes him not to go.  I mean, he's my first love and everything.  However, it would never work out between us, we've tried multiple times.  I guess it's just the selfish part of me that's playing out...I hope that he gets what will make him most happy, I really do.

So, Saturday I went with Melissa to her law friend's wedding.  And, I think that I had more fun then she did *laughs*.  We got to the church...holy shit.  I guestimated that the church was 2-3 million dollars, just looking at it.  It looked more like a brick castle, lots of glass, big yard...very old (at least it had the appearance of being old) yet very well maintained.  We could tell that we were walking into some money *winks*.  So, we got into the church...omg, georgous.  There were (from my understanding) several chapels in the church, we went into the one upstairs.  And, the chapel itself was very small (I'm guessing about a sitting capacity of 200), but very ornate.  Lots of wood (even the super uncomfy but pretty seats :p  )  There was a harpist playing in the front of the church instead of the piped in CD music that most people use, very very kick ass.  And, the programs were amazing.  I mean, these people really didn't spare any expense.  I'll have to bring the programs and the few photos I took to show how pretty it was.  I"ll have to attach them to the blog here in the next few days.  What I really liked is that the program had this quote from Mother Teresa in regards to love and also there was a statement from the bride and groom about each of the bridesmaids/groomsmen.  I thought that was really sweet, some of them were real tear jerkers.

So, the wedding itself was very personalized, not the type of "blah blah blah insert name here blah blah" type of wedding.  Very nice.  So, afterwords we were walking down the stairs and I was overpowered by chocolate.  Translate overpowered by chocolate into I got hard by the intense smell of it.  So, we got into this central hallway and....*pees himself*...this four tier...about 6 foot tall chocolate fondu fountain was there.  I wept, seriously... And there were marshmelows, vanila crisp wafers, strawberries, pretty much anything you can do with chocolate, it was there.  I was crying while shoving my face full of chocolate delights.  And then...I discovered the full open free bar.  It was then that I found my salvation in my Lord...Whiskey.  *ahem*.  So, that night I had 6 whiskey sours.  I was pretty gone *chuckles*.

So, the food was fantastic (chicken, mashed potatos that you would die for, green beans with almonds) and they had cake...but, with all the chocolate?  didn't really eat any cake.

And, I danced quite a bit with all of these strange people that loved me and my drunk self.  And, I was sititng by this Asian grrl that was a co-worker of the bride.  And, as I got more drunk, the more I wanted to ask her to say "Me So Horny, Love you Long Time."

However....even I know that was pretty innapropriate...especially at a fancy wedding.

Ohhh, and did i mention that the centerpieces at the reception had real fruit in it?  Like, flowers, apples, pears...I was amazed by that.

Ohhhh...and did i mention that there was free booze?

Praise the Lord :)

3 - hehe, when I saw the fountain and thought of you Narelle, isn't that enough???? I mean, I ate a plate of chocolate goodness in your honor!! Of course, I then had a plate for myself. And then a plate for Jess, 'cause I figured she would have been left out :) (Comment this)

4 - Oh Narelle, you must not be caught up on where Casey's soul is...

You can't go fishing with it...it's been pieced out already! TWICE, at least! :)

5 - You're absolutely right of course, but I do love making it dance and squirm on the end of a dirty old hook (and that's hook, casey, not hooker, you'd enjoy that *way too much) *grin (Comment this)
