Rain Rain

So, it's been doing this weird rain/snow thing all day today.  Just wish that it would snow...I really hate rain.

Nothing much has been going on the past few days, hence the reason why I haven't blogged in the past couple.

Our new group MSN group had a nice start, however, hardly anyone's been posting on it the past few days...maybe even a week.  We've actually had 3 new members join it, but only one has said one thing pretty much.  So, we'll see what happens with that.

I can't believe that I'm waiting for Sallie Mae to generate my student loan stuff to do my taxes, I would have loved to get that done rather then sending in a 4th quarter estimates taxes.  And, they won't have it done until 01/31/2006.  *blech*.  I guess it won't be crunch time like it was last year and trying to get everything sent in before the 31st.  But it would be nice to see if I'm getting a small refund or, at the very least, having to pay an obscene amount of money to the government this year.

I did find some interesting news out yesterday though.  Chad and Melissa (my cousins) are going to be having their second kid!!  Well, for Melissa this is her third, but Chad's second.  And apparently she's only been preggy for about a month and she's already showing.  Her last kid she was as big as a house, she was freaking huge.  So, it looks like it's the same way with this kid :).  I say, good for them, I think they're pretty decent parents :).

This past weekend was pretty boring.  Not that much went on.  Last night I did 5 loads of laundry...haven't done laundry in about a week, so really it's my fault.  I was up until 1ish doing all of them though.  Needless to say, I wasn't very happy about it :p.  But, you know, what's a grrl supposed to do when you're running really low on underwear.  Sure, I can just not wear any....

Girl Scout Cookies

So, I'm sitting at work, it's not even 3pm, and i'm so freaking bored I could curl up in a ball and cry :p  Not that much going on today :p

Mike emailed me and asked me about girl scout cookies, apparently a mother at their work is trying to peddle them.  I say, peddle away, and give me all you got!  Love girl scout cookies, especially if they're made from 100% all natural girl scouts *chuckles*

Travis and his friends bought that commercial building, finialized the paperwork yesterday.  Mike and I are still deciding as far as moving in there.  I think the final decision is us looking at the place and seeing what we think of the place.  I just really hate to give up the garage and the yard for Zoie...we'll see.

At Work and Loving It

So, I'm at work now, Travis just left to sign a few things at the bank and also take some photos of a commercial building that he insures.  So, I'm left to my own devices for another 45 minutes or so.  Yea me.

I'm on MSN groups a lot and I've always used Internet Explorer because, figuring that both are made by the same company (Microsoft), that they should work best together.  I'm sad to report that I was sadly mistaken.  I tried to use Firefox (http://www.mozilla.com) and it was just zipping through the pages.  None of this after-I-post-it-goes-to-a-white-screen-and-doesn't-post bullshit.  And, it just flies through the pages around 5x the speed of IE.  So, my primary internet browser is officially now firefox.  The only reason why I use it now is to use our company websites, which only work with IE.  *blech*.  Hopefully they'll fix some of the IE issues in the next release, version 7.  But, for now, Firefox is my main bitch.

But, things have been a wee slow today.  Our marketing rep from one of our companies came in.  He noted that our premium with them have slumped since last year, but I think he expected it since their rates are still pretty high, they haven't changed their rates in over a year.  And, everyone in the past year has been dropping the premiums like mad.  But, they'll be uploading with auto and home next month he said, and also dropping prices at the same time.  So hopefully we'll be able to boost some premium volume with them this coming year.  I hate to have our premium keep dropping with them.  hehe.  But, we only have a 2% loss ratio with them, so I don't think they'll be dropping us anytime soon.

I read awn article that users make judgements on websites in one twentieth of a second.  And, I totally agree with that.  I can look at a website and I'm instantly turned on or off by it.  It's even the reason why I've cancelled credit cards because their online precense sucks serious ass.  I guess it goes to show that people need to have a kick ass page 'cause it doesn't really matter what the offer on the website.  Most people, if they are turned off by the website, won't venture further.

It just struck me that I need to add my cell phone number to the National Don't Call List, which can be found at http://www.donotcall.gov.  Very handy to have your numbers registered in there!

Saw Narnia Today

Today I went with Melissa and her neice to see Narnia.  It was pretty kick ass.  I don't think that her neice liked it very much though.  But, I don't think that it was geared for her audience (she's in kindergarten or 1st grade I do believe).  I think it was geared for people that have actually read the book, around middle school and up.  I think it's a wee violent for elementary kids I do believe.  However, I really enjoyed it!  I thought that it followed the book very well (of course, I read it when I was in 5th grade *grins*)

Just got done writting out the checks for my 4th quarter taxes.  Yea :p  But hopefully I've put in enough the past couple of quarters so that, at the very least, I won't have to pay in too much.  Or, hoping a lot, that I get a small refund back.  Will be nice, either which way *grins*.

A friend of mine is looking into being a phone sex operator part time *chuckles*.  Two thoughts enter my mind when I think of it.  The "Crank Yankers" episode where this caller calls this phone sex hotline and says that his friend wants to do phone sex, but is death.  So, he instructs the phone sex chic to scream into the phone so that he can feel the vibrations on his balls *chuckles*.  And, she does it :).  She then takes her boobies and starts slapping them on the phone.  It was quite comical.  The second image is (I'm thinking this is a commercial...but, a commercial for what?  I just don't know...maybe it was a sitcom...) of this guy having phone sex with this woman (nothing was said that was obscene or anything).  And, he's talking to her and she sounds really really hot.  And, then it shows the woman and she's at home, she's around 300 pounds, wearing a moomoo, and she has an infant in her arms.  *smirks*.  Well, I thought it was hot :)

Narnia

I talked with Melissa a few hours ago.  We made plans to take her neice tomorrow to see the Chronicles of Narnia.  I've been really wanting to see it :).  So hopefully that'll go well.

Nothing has been on tv today.  *sighs*.  I did get to watch Merlin though on the Sci-Fi network.  I freaking love that movie *grins*.  And I really do get a kick off of the network.  I freaking love sci-fi movies/shows...'tis one of my favorite and most watched networks.

Was wanting to have sex today but Mike has had a headache most of the day and he just went to bed *blech*.  Looks like I'll have to take care of it myself *grins*.

I also haven't heard from Narelle in about a week.  I may have to send her an email in the next couple of days and make sure she's alright.  I'm sure she's just busy with schooling and such.  hrrmmm...we'll see.

Drinking and Movies

So, last night Melissa came over and we got to talking about it.  We decided that, since it was already 11pm, that we'll just stay in and drink.  So, i got out the alcohol, made some chocolate chip cookies, and watched "The Interpretor".  Well, most of it.  It seemed like it was taking forever, not really that interesting, and we were both tired anyways.  So, needless to say, we both were falling asleep near the end of the movie.  So, she went home, and I turned it off before going to bed.  But it was a nice time anyways.

Today we don't have anything interesting planned.  I think we're just gonna lounge around and not do anything really.  I think that we both deserve that :)

Basketball

So, Travis just popped by for about half an hour.  He just got out of basketball practise with the lil' ones and then he was going to be going to St Mary's for a church basketball league.  Had a nice lil' time, mostly just talking about work and the whole Joelle thingy.  I told him that I won't be coming in on Monday, will be hanging out with Melissa since she works for the government and now gets pretty much any holiday off *laughs*.  Must be nice :).

But, it looks like Joelle and Todd will be trying to work it out, which is really good.  I thought the whole "I want a divorce immediatly" was a bit overkill, but that was prolly just the anger of finding out your hubby's been dipping his pen in someone else's ink.  Well, that and my opinion of monogamy is...well, not real solid.  I would be hurt if Mike would ever cheat on me, but I wouldn't leave him over it.  Hell, I prolly would be most upset that he did it behind my back and not invited me *laughs*.  And it looks like they'll also be going to marriage counseling as well, which is also very good.  However I didn't initially understand why one of her conditions was to sell the house before they could really "move on."  I guess it's more of a chic thing that you have emotions tied to innanimate objects, like their house.  Me personally it wouldn't bother me, but you'll have that.  But, Travis also pointed out that she didn't wanna be tied to him in case of a "relapse" and that divorce wouldn't be hell.  That makes more sense to me.

I didn't get to meditate though...as soon as I made the last post, I went to fold laundry and then Travis called me to see if he could come over for his intermission between practice and a game.  But, as much as I hate to say it, I do like hanging out with Travis.  It's actually really funny, to see us as kids, we pretty much hated eachother and do terriable, terriable things to eachother.  But, now I couldn't imagine my life without him.  I guess the gods amuse themselves by such things.  That and watching to overly fat people have sex together...I bet they get out the popcorn and 3D glasses to see such things *chuckles*

So, with that, I'll be going out to fold some more laundry that just got done, finish off my Prince of Persia game (I'm fighting the last boss right now, haven't quite figured out how to kill him off yet), and then call Melissa and see what she's doing tonight and work on getting myself nicely drunk off my ass :)

I'll Do What I Want

So, Mellisa, Mike, and I may do something tonight.  Hopefully it involves a large portion of drinking, 'cause I'm definatly in the mood for it :)  I'm also pondering over taking Monday off...just seems like the thing to do at this time.

And, for those confused readers that thought I was mad at Jess for not going out for her birthday, that wasn't the case.  It was 'cause she was being a hooch over the phone :)  And, for those individuals that are distressed over what I have to say on my blog, then, my answer is, don't read it.  The blog really isn't for anyone but myself, to reflect over the past and to express myself over the present.  People can read it if they so choose if they wanna see what is inside of my mind and what's going on in my life.  However, if you don't like what you see, then, by all means, you can close your browser down now.

Fourth quarter taxes are due this Tuesday.  Fun fun for me :p.  I think I'm just gonna throw a few bucks towards the government's way 'cause more then likely I'll be getting money back.  However, I can't do my taxes until after the 31st 'cause of Sallie Mae and my student loans.  And, if I don't file 4th quarter taxes by the 31st, they can penalize me.  *blech*.  Like it takes Sallie Mae to computer generate what interest I've paid so that I can deduct it off of my taxes.

I got this really cute picture of Mike and I from Melissa when we went to her law school graduation this past March.  I'll have to scan it at work and post it on the blog sometime.

*ugh*.  I just went to get the towels out of the dryer and Mike must not have put them in long enough, they were still wet.  So, I'll have to wait another 30 minutes before getting them out.  *sighs*.  There's like, easily 4-5 loads of laundry to do today.  Hopefully I can get them all done before we do anything tonight.

I seem to have a lot of rage the past couple of days bottled up inside of me.  Not really pointed at anything in particular.  I think I'll put Zoie in her cage for a wee bit and meditate for awhile, haven't done that in a few weeks.  If nothing else I'll get a few minutes of relaxation and quiet.

Mike got our cell phone bill today and he about threw a tizzy.  It came back as 380some dollars, which is the highest it's ever been.  And, we even switched to their "Fair and Flexiable" plan.  Bull fucking shit :p.  For starters, they were charging us for calls that we made to eachother, which is bullshit since we have free PCS to PCS calling.  And, we also pay $10 a month to have 100 minutes of roaming.  Yea, we were charged for a few roaming calls, even though we never went above the 100 minute cap.  Plus, they were sporadically charging us minutes even though we didn't go above the minutes that were allowed to us.  Mike was...livid.  So, he tried to call their customer service people but he couldn't get through (which really pissed him off).  So, he's on his way to the Lima store to give them hell.  I say bring it to them.  They totally fucked us over on this bill!  So, if it's not resolved, we may have to get a new phone service, 'cause that's crap :p.  Which'll be interesting, 'cause when we went to the new plan, we renewed for another 2 years to get him a new phone.  *sighs*  So hopefully he can get it worked out 'cause I don't want to pay a 150 buck penalty or whatever it is just to buy ourselves out of the contract.

And now I'm off to meditate....

Marriage is Fun

So, was at work today and my brother told me about his wife's best friend's husband cheated on her and, for now, is living with them.  And, we're not talking for a few days or a few weeks.  She's maybe 2 months pregnant and, when she goes on maternity leave, she only gets half pay, not full pay.  So, since she doesn't wanna work things out with her hubby, she can't afford to get an apartment of her own.  So, this translates into her prolly living with the both of them until after she gets off of maternity leave.

Fun.

It actually should be interesting to watch though.  Mike and I were supposed to take the two of them out for supper and such for Jess' birthday.  Well, that's pretty much been put on a permenant hold.  FYI, when I called at 8 to see if we were still doing this or not, they just started eating supper, and she told me that she'll call me after supper.  So, still no call around 10, I called back, she answered the phone and had a bitchy tone with me and was pretty short.  Didn't really appreciate it, but whatever.  So, apparently, the plans are on hold for prolly ever.

And, she has been having problems with the best friend 'cause of her "lack of consideration for her infertility problems"...so, it'll be interesting spending pretty much every waking minute with her.  Hopefully she doesn't lose her mind...

Ohhh, did I mention that he prolly fathered a kid with the chica he banged?  Definate hottness.

But, really, and I know I don't know the whole situation and all, they should prolly try marriage counceling before going directly to divorce.  'Cause, really, you should make an effort if you really love the person.  Sure, there are times where you just can't work shit out.  But, there's worse things that a guy can do.  Yea, he was drunk and had a one night stand.  But there's no sense in at least making the effort to fix it.  Unless of course it's a) unfixable or b) not worth it to them...which I doubt would be the case either which way.  But, then again, what do I know.

Like I said, should be interesting...

So, Mike and I went with mom, dad, and Brandi to Bella's for supper tonight.  Was pretty nice, we had a really good time.  We ate a lot of food, gossiped plenty, and laughed quite a bit.  Also got the late portion of my Christmas gift since it took forever to get it through Ebay...but, I got the DVD of the new House of Wax.  I didn't tell them that I saw it a few weeks ago.  But, it was pretty decent.  Really, the best part to see Paris Hilton die.  That was truely glorious and was worth the money to rent it right there, everything else was just a topping :).

Yesterday Mike and I went to Bonnie, our lawyer, last night and made a few modifications to our wills before starting it.  We also setup Power of Attorney for both of us last night as well.  She'll also be mailing us the bill along with Medical Power of Attorney papers and Living Wills for us to fill out and get noterized.  I'm really glad about the will and Power of Attorney.  The will, well duh, divies up everything how we wanted.  And, with the Power of Attorney, if something would happen to Mike (as far as get in a car accident and taken to the hospital), it'll give me the "privledge" to talk to the dr's about his medical condition and see him.  Prior to this, I had no say in the matter and the hospital wouldn't talk to me about anything in regards to him since I'm not of kin.  Which, I think that some hospitals are lax with that rule, but I hear all the time how same sex couples are denied hearing this information and being informed.  *sighs*.  One of the many advantages that married people have that us mere mortals don't have, but not much I can do to change things...

Gods, I still feel stuffed from going to Bella's...too much damned food!

Nothing Really New

We were supposed to go to Bella's with Mom and Dad tomorrow for supper, but then I realized today that Mike screwed up the date that we were supposed to go to the Attorney's to get the wills and what not finialized.  He was thinking it was today, and I didn't realize it until I looked at the date and realized that it was the 10th, not the 11th :).  So, I called Dad today and let him know that we wouldn't be able to make it tomorrow 'cause of the appointment, that we'll have to do it next week.  Of course, this isn't because of our schedule...they're so freaking busy all the time, they have to be the ones to tell us when they can and can't do anything *chuckles*.  It's kinda funny sometimes :)

but, other then that, nothing really huge or fabulous happened today.  Tomorrow I have to be at work at 9am sharp 'cause one of our marketing managers is coming in to talk to us about some upcoming changes with the company.  So, hopefully it's positive changes that are coming soon :)
