My Arch Nemesis
You know how Super Man had Lex Luther, Brittany Spears had Christina Aguilera, and how most of my family has issues with hygiene? Well, I have come to understand my arch nemesis, and it's name is Acer. If you do a quick search on my blog for those new readers, you will find many postings and rantings about Acer. How I despise Acer and I hope that they rot in hell. So, I'm wanting to sell this piece of shit laptop at the beginning of this year because that's when the new version of Windows comes out *pokes himself off*. I mean, that just makes me *SOOOO* damned happy!!! However, in good conscience, I have to get this one fixed. And, it's still under warranty. Now, for a quick history of what's wrong with this laptop, it overheats, plain and simple. Which, no freaking big deal, not a problem. I sent it into Acer. This is going to be the third or fourth time. The last time I sent it in they sent it back, stating that it was a Windows problem and they wiped out the hard drive and reinstalled Windows. Yea...except that I did that prior to sending it to you, you stupid bastards! I wasn't 100% sure that it was hardware related until I wiped it out and, after doing so, it was still shutting down for unknown reasons, without error, without warning. It just went black and died. So, I went to make a request on their website to have the laptop picked up and repaired (yea, it's really scary when the company lets you do this without even talking to someone over the phone...another reason why you should never, EVER buy from this company. So, I was doing up the service request thing and, when I was scheduling a Fedex pickup (they've always done this before, mind you), it gave me a technical error, not like a "sorry, but we don't offer this to you" error. So, I called Acer support and told them that I got this error. So, he looked up his records and said that the support ticket was created and everything was fine. So, I then asked him if it was setup so that Fedex would be picking it up. He looked through it and said that, even though they paid for the shipping in the past, in the warranty it states that the customers are obligated to pay for the shipping to Acer. So, effective the (I think 15th) of this month, they started taking a more firm reading of the warranty. Fuck. So, I said thanks to the guy and hung up. I mean, it's not like it's his fault, it's a corporate decision. But, come on. If your shit is broken, and I purchased this expensive piece of shit, then you should, at the very least, pay for the shipping to get it replaced. It's not like it's my fault that the damned thing is broken. Of course, it is my fault that I didn't flag to them the problem wasn't fixed when I sent it in to them. I didn't really care at the time, I needed to use it in even in its limited capacity. But, now it's getting close to sell it and I need to get rid of it. And, as it stands now, if I even try to watch a couple minute video off of YouTube or something like that, it turns off for me. So, tomorrow I'll have to take it to the post office and get it overnighted so that they can work on it. But, mark my words, if it comes back and it's not fixed fixed, I'm calling right away and giving the fuckers hell. Bastards!!!
So, yes, in the next coming elections, Vote No for Acer and Vote Yes for Sanity and For The Children! Because, really, do you want a future for your children or grandchildren where they are constantly screaming, hitting, and crying 'cause of their crappy and shoddy Acer Laptop burning their legs and bursting into flames? Well, sure, it would be amusing for a couple of minutes, but then it would be a pain in the ass to haul Acer into court to pay for the medical bills. So, I say *no*.
